I took my 10 year old son to spend the night on the property.  The little cabin was very nice and we plan to take advantage of their arrangements again.  We met the land owners and they were very nice people and cut the grass that week, which made it easy to walk around portions of the pond.  Our plans changed on us after we booked the reservation, so we only had 45 minutes to fish in the morning.  Given the circumstances, the land owner allowed us to fish the evening that we arrived.  The wind was blowing strong and despite the conditions we caught three 14 inchers on crank baits and missed a few as we liesurly fished and floated in the wind.  In the morning, we were on the water as the sun came up which was awesome (which staying on site makes this convenient).  In the 45 minutes we fished, we caught 5, largest being 2.5 or 3lbs on top water.  The morning was still and wonderful.  No doubt we could have finished the morning with 20+ if we had time and fished hard and slower….great trip for the limited time we had…..
