We fishing from 7-3 out of my bass boat. It was still early and cloudy about half of the day. We started with baitfish flukes on the edge of the weedline and caught a few. Next we switched to watermelon red senko in about 15 feet and it worked some all day. When the wind picked up, we caught our most fish suspended at about 15’ on shad colored swimbaits rigged on 1/8-¼ oz jigheads. With the south wind, the middle of the lake to the dam produced fish. Smaller bass were chasing bait on the surface most of the day. Caught a few underneath huge baitfish school on Carolina rigged wm red magic fluke. We had a great time on this unique lake! The habitat diversity lets you try a lot of lures and practice with your electronics. It was my second time here and definitely will be back. We had a good visit with Joe at the ramp when we loaded out. We thanked him for the opprtunity fish his lake and his efforts to maintain this good fishery.
