Tony Stewart and I got up early for some top water action Sunday morning. We were on the lake by 6:30, about a half hour before sunrise. Action was some what slow for the top water bite(8 caught first hour)but we soon switched over to swim baits and spinner baits and caught another 15 between the two of us till our first break around 8:30. Most were caught in the weed line and where the depth of the pond cuts deeper from the 4ft mark to 15 feet. 
 

Midday was slow as expected and then we stopped again for lunch. Got out one more time around 1pm and caught a wind shift during that time. Seemed to turn on the activity and between the two of us caught another 8-10, all in the 2 ½ to 3 ½ lb range. 
 

So much structure here and just a fun lake to fish. The fish are all fat and healthy. Can't wait to come back when these fish are bigger.
