My brother Jason and I decided at the last minute to fish deer trail his afternoon, 1:30 – 6:30. Fish were hidden in the grass line (just like the last time we were here). We caught 25 ranging from 14" – 18” and a couple of dinks.  Sorry no pics this time, didn't catch anything photo worthy. Slow bite so it was tough coaxing them out of the the grass. Most were caught on either on a wacky rigged senko (green pumpkin) or a Texas rigged baby brush hog (watermelon candy with the tail dipped in a chartreuse garlic dye). Very slow summer presentation. We tried a punch jig, chatter bait et al. But no joy. 

Water temp was 88° outside air was also hot (duh it's July) but there was a breeze so actually not too uncomfortable. 

We like this lake haven't caught any monsters yet but always good numbers, easy to launch the boat, and decent sized.
