Fished Button Lake with another member Tuesday morning. The lake was full with visibility of about 18”. There was some vegetation along the shore line but that was sparse and nothing growing out away from the shore line.
We fished from 6:30am to 9:30am in kayaks covering both shallow and deep water. We fished with chatter baits,spinner baits,crank baits,tx rig,wacky rigs and ned rigs without a single strike from a bass or bream.
After the wildfire last year and subsequent drought my guess is that the water level got so low that a significant fish die off ocurred and it will take time for the lake to recover.

Gosh, I sure hate that you guys zeroed at Button. You guys usually have great days everywhere you go. But, we have had no reports of a fish kill. In fact, the owners grandsons have been catching giants in the last 30 days, including 2 10’s, 2 8’s and 1 6 lber.
Just one of the those slow days. The last fishing report from a member had 30 fish one day and 6 a week later.
You may want to give it another shot?
