A buddy and I tried to fish the bigger lake at this site this AM but with white caps built from a strong wind going straight down the lake we were only mildly successful. Caught a dozen or so on plastics but the presentation was a mess. 10 were harvest size. Tried cranks but nothing doing in the wind and boat control was iffy. Disappointed we headed out of the property but on a whim stopped to try bank fishing a smaller pond. WHOA, caught enough to make our day!

I wish I saw this earlier. I just got back from there. Tough day on the big lake too. Not b/c of the wind but b/c of the dinks messing w/ my bait. I took 5 out. I could’ve taken more but they were so small, I had trouble setting the hook. Next time I’ll try the smaller ponds.
