Fished Julian Lake April 15 and had an excellent day of fishing.  In less than 6 hours, caught 41, including a 4 pounder.  Many were in the 1-1.5 pound range but a few 2’s and 3’s also.  Lake is full, somewhat murky and the geese are nesting.  Best lures were weightless frogs (on the bottom), chartruese and whtie spinner baits.  In the last four weeks, I caught 35, 31 and 24 in fairly brief outings.  My grandaughter accompanied me on one trip and caught nine.
The bassbuster is always ready with a trolling motor and charged up battery, provided by Mr. Julian, making this very accessible and enjoyable.
