Got there before the sun came up and fished top water mainly for the first hours. No bites at all. Through frog, whopper plopper and kitchen sink. Nobody wanted that. So launched the john boat. Not easy. My fault. I should of brought a paddle. Thick weeds at the ramp.

So started throwing plastics. And a few drinks. Had a pack of trick worms in banana seed. Thre cast and three fish. Biggest I'll attach pic. I fished it Texas rig with smallest weight with two beads. To give it a slow nose dive.

Crank bait bite was slow. Till I put on perch pattern glide bait. There two baits were the key. 8 smaller fish and 4 nice ones. Perch all over the place. Still trying to get back into the swing of things. Haven't fished for a couple of years due to injuries.

Tight lines.

I take my garden rake and clear out some weeds at the ramp if necessary. I can't clear it all, but I get enough to make launching my kayak a little easier.
