Hi Jonathan,

I have a 10 ft. Pond Prowler and bought a 10 ft. Big Tex utility trailer with a grated ramp tail gate. Easy to manuver around and get unloaded.  Mounted a winch on the front that hooks up to my truck battery to pull

the boat from the lake.  I bolted two 2X4’s to the ramp and put small ball-bearing mounted rollers on them, which keeps the boat moving and not dragging up the ramp. Has been pretty efficient for us.  Let me

know if you have any more questions.

Thank you Bob! This sounds like a good idea. Do you have any pictures by chance?

Fishing partner Rick came up with the idea of mounting the winch, so attached a picture of the square tubing welded to the frame and the smaller tubing attached to the bottom of the winch.  Drilled a hole through both tubings and run a bolt through when winching to keep the smaller tubing from twisting.  Sure saves on a 60+ year old back.  Hope this helps.

Doesn’t make much difference, but it is a Kearney trailer, not a Big Tex.  Looked at both and like this one better.
