Small Electric Winch for Boat Trailer

I've read on this site several posts about this subject, but can't remember who posted them or what winch was recommended. I've reached the point where it's difficult for me to crank even my little 8-footer onto its trailer, and would like to mount an electric winch. I'd be forever grateful if a member would recommend a specific brand and model of winch. Thanks in advance!

Tom - here (image below) is the electric winch that one of our members (I think Steve Carpenter) had recommended some years back. I haven't used it, so I cannot give an accurate review of it.

I hope that is helpful - Mark

And here is a link that may work (Amazon):

Fulton makes a manual winch for boats that has 2 speeds; i had it on a previous big fiberglass boat, and had no trouble winching it up by hand.  Just another option if you wanted to stay with something manual.

Thanks, Phillip! That’s the post I’d been trying to find.

Is this a great group of nice guys, or what?

Tom

I have been using that winch for my boat for over a year. My boat weighs a little over 200 lbs and is loaded with fishing equipment. It has a lot of power. Even pulled  it out one time with a fellow club member in it. I think I ordered it on Amazon. Having a tilt trailer also helps. You can crank it manually if you lose power. My winch is the one shown in Mark's picture. Has helped this 71 yoa
