Houston Lakes with no reviews

I see a couple of lakes very close to Houston such as Ellington Tree Farm and K Bar Ranch and there are no reviews since the middle of last year. Is no one fishing these areas or just no reviews. Thought about trying them in the near future if they fish well. Hoping they just are not getting the reviews needdd as it would be nice to be closer to me. Anyone?

I think I read in an earlier post that they had about 60 bookings the other saturday with only 6 reports turned in that day – so people are probably fishing, just not reporting.

It would be nice if people reported more for the metrics alone – really tough for owners to manage lakes if they don’t know what’s going on.  in my teens, my dad and I managed two lakes on our property, and if you wanted to fish them and come back, you had to submit a report – kinda like eating dinner at someone’s house when they invite you over and not helping with the dishes.

I agree – reporting is very important. As Joshua mentioned, the owners and PWF office need info to manage the properties better, and we members appreciate info on fishing the lakes. Even if it’s posted a week or two late, it’s better than nothing. And add photos when you have them.

It’s just the right thing to do for our fellow member anglers.

We get about 10%-15% of members posting reports. Most members read the reports. Most choose not to post a report.

We regonize those members who post and are very appreciative for those who do post. It really does help us better understand what is going on at each property.
