Do any of you guys have some up to date info on what's working at Hat and Star?  Got a half day Friday afternoon with my son.  We've never been there before.  

i've had good luck early and late with a white buzzbait.  go straight across from the launch area (to the north bank) and work away from the dam.  there are several big brush piles along that bank that will hold bass all day (use a texas rig later in the day).  the area where the standing timber starts on that bank is a very good area as well.  lots and lots of brush in the water, so bring heavy line (braid or 20 lb mono).  The fish are excellent fighters.  good luck to you and your son.
