fishing reports

Has anyone  else had trouble submitting a report? I wrote a report on Twin Lakes, hit submit and I got dropped from the site. Rewrote the report and the same  thing occurred. I realize that it could be me......... but is it just me? I see some of you are successful and that's good.

Yes it has happened to me before, early on.  Not sure why.  Ever since then I make sure i save the text in a Word doc (before I hit submit), just in case.  Seth may have a better idea.

I have not heard of this before. What browser were you guys using, and what do you mean when you say it dropped you from the site? Did it log you out when you clicked the submit button, or something else? iPad, phone, or PC? Did you put a title in the "summary" area, select a property, and write the content of your report I'm the big text box? Sorry for all the questions, but any additional info you can provide will help. We will get it figured out and fixed.

Don't want everyone to have to resort to saving their reports in word documents!

me too; i think it has to with the auto logout that the software has.  don't know what it's set for, but let's say it's 15 minutes.  meaning, with no activity in 15 minutes, you will automatically be logged out.  the system does not recognize that you are typing out a fishing report, so if you take too long, you may actually be logged out when you hit the submit button, and your report will not be posted.

This has happened to me three times. I thought it was just because I'm old and slow as I try to be creative on my post.  The second time it happened I had saved a copy in Apple Pages.  It could be a timing out issue.  It won't stop me from posting as I have fun posting and sharing my day.

The only problem I've ever had with Fishing Reports is that the fish I was writing about were too small.

Somebody has to fix this problem. I just typed up a detailed report complete with pics, I hit submit and it's gone! And I'm prompted to login again. The problem is clearly the site logging you out too soon. Seriously, I've never been on a website that I have to login into so frequently. And I'm not going to the trouble of typing up the report again.

Happened to me late last night 4/22.  I'm using an IPad.  When I hit submit it took me right to the discussion forum page not the fishing reports page I was on. Urrrgh.

Thanks for all the great information and we are sorry for your troubles. Having accurate fishing reports is critical for the club. We have been all over our web development team trying to figure out what might be the issue(s). We are having trouble replicating the issues that you are having, so it makes it more difficult to fix the problem if we cannot duplicate the issue. (we have tried the auto log off). However, mid week our web team did some "house cleaning" and feel this may help.

Please let us know if you are still having issues. Of course,  specific and constructive information is the most helpful. We understand this is frustrating and will get it resolved.

Thanks!

I submitted a report two weeks ago and it never posted. This is the first time in six years that it has been a problem. I know you guys will get it fixed soon!

I was using a MacBook Pro. This is what I have always used. Also, I don't believe it kicked me out (its possible that I dont remember) but I believe it just didnt post.
