Was there ever a decision made on restarting Deer Trail from scratch? Thanks.

Jack, Steve can give you the latest info, but what I was told in spring when the overflow drain failed was that the owner plans to rebuild the lake making several improvements then restock it with Florida bass. So once that is done it should come back better than ever. I'm sure it will take several years for it to be fishable again.

The plan is to renovate this summer and Fall. Pray that it fills over Winter and Spring. Restock forage, allow the forage to establish and build numbers. Add bass and have it ready for fishing in a few years. If I had to guess it would be ready in 2020 or 2021. A lot depends on Mother Nature. 

So, did all the water (and fish) run out the drain into Timber Lake?  Looks like on Google Earth that the creek goes that way.
