Last time I fished Leinweber I caught some really nice fish.  Culled about 5 but caught a 3-4, another 3-4, and a 5-1.  Today, not so good.  The conditions were extremely hot, 92 at 10:00 AM.  Absolutely dead calm with no breeze and the lake like glass.  Water very stained (not sure why as it's been 2 weeks since any rain).  I threw Senkos, Motor Oil/Chart worms, Blue/Chart worms, yellow ringworms, blue crawdads and assorted other soft plastics.  Fished Texas rigged and then drop-shoted around the dead trees in the middle of the lake, then spinnerbaits, then deep plugs all over the lake.  Nothing.  Finally broke the fly rod out and tied on a Clouser.  Picked up 2 culls in quick succession and then again no takes.  Finally switched to jerk baits and caught one decent keeper and another that barely made the 14" limit.  Not sure what put the bite off today but hits were hard to come by.  It got so hot that I gave up early at 10:30 and got off the lake.
